GULF COAST BRIDGE ASSOCIATION UNIT 180
MINUTES OF JANUARY 14, 2003

The Unit 180 Board Members met at the clubhouse January 14, 2003 at 5:30 p.m.

Attendees: Walter Lewis, Richard Bryant, Jan Hunt, Bob Schabacker, Elaine Norcross, Rebecca McMichael, Diane Oldham, Lynne Logan, Frank Battaile, Patsy Bell, Polly Bridges, Jane Moore-Baker Jack Sullivan, and O.J. Shipley.

Walter Lewis, President, called the meeting to order.

Minutes of the December 10th meeting were approved by a motion from Rebecca and seconded by Bob.

O.J. presented the Treasurer\'s Report. Jack moved to accept the report, seconded by Diane. The motion was unanimously approved.

Diane\'s motion, seconded by Jane, to disregard O.J.'s proposal of purchasing the Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoon games as it was a moot point. The games were turned over to Rebecca in March of 2002, officially in October 2002. Walter tabled the motion to be discussed at a future Board meeting.

Walter offered the Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evening games to O.J. to develop. O.J. declined stating he had other options he would explore.

O.J. has prepared the 1099\'s and given to Lynne for mailing.

O.J. offered to do the tax returns at no cost to the Unit. Lynne questioned if O.J. was a CPA. As the tax returns are not due for several months, Jack moved to table the discussion and vote until the February meeting. Elaine seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.

On February 16th , at l:00 p.m. there will be a Growth Seminar at the clubhouse. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Jane will order all sanctions needed for the Sunday Celebrations.

Tournament Chairman, Mary Huey, stated there are 959 room nights reserved at the Grand. Jan and Diane will purchase candy for the Registration Desk. Mary and Diane will use their discretion in selecting food items for the Regional tournament.

Bob Schabacker handed in his resignation as a Board member and Director of the Tuesday evening game. Jane will direct the game on January 21st.

Jack moved to adjourn the meeting. Jan seconded and the meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
