Unit 180
A general Membership meeting was held at the clubhouse on December 9, 2001. A quorum was present.
The treasurer reported a saving account balance of $ 1506 and a checking account balance of $ 23,107 and a cash balance o $21,886.
Two capital improvements were accomplished this year. Windows were added to the back playing room for a cost of $1800 and handicap rails were added in the bathroom for a cost of $ 240.
The winner of the Tuesday night contest were

The candidates for election to the Board of Directors were:

On a motion by Bob Rose and a second by Diane Oldham they were elected by acclimation.
It was moved by Phyllis Maness and seconded by Bill Walker that the entire building be smoke free. The motion did not pass.

Unit 180
A regular meeting of the Gulf Coast Bridge Association was held on Nov. 13, 2001 at the clubhouse, Mary Huey president presiding. Members present were: Jan Hunt, O.J. Shipley, Richard Bryant, Diane Oldham, Rose Datloff, Rebecca McMichael, Bill Walker, Bob Schabacker, and Daryl Gahm.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved on a motion by Rose and a second by Diane.
The treasurer’s report was approved as attached on a motion by Rebecca and a second by Diane.
The indirect cost issue for regional tournaments will be decided at the next District 10 meeting.
The club manager reported new boards and new cards would be used for the Christmas Party.
We will try to have a workshop for our club directors at the regional tournament.
The special event calendar was approved as proposed by Rebecca and seconded by Daryl.
Members nominated for the Board of Directors are: Elaine Norcross, Jane Moore, Mardi Brown, and Polly Bridges.
Daryl will make a report at the next meeting for a unit award.

A regular meeting of the Gulf Coast Bridge Association was held October 14 at the clubhouse, Mary Huey presiding. Members present were: Mary Huey, O.J Shipley, Phyllis Maness, Rose Datloff, Richard Mueller, Richard Bryant, Diane Oldham, Rebecca McMichael, Daryl Gahm.
Rose Datlof, Pat LaCerva, and Jane Moore, and Walter Lewis were appointed to the nominating committee.
Rose moved that we hire Bill Faulk to update and make changes to our web page for a cost of $450. The motion was seconded by Richard M. and passed.
On a motion by Rose and a second by Diane Richard Bryant was nominated to the board. The motion passed.

On a motion by Richard M. and a second by Diane a trophy game in honor of Lamar Jordan be approved. The motion passed.
We will hold a special game for the benefit of the World Trade Center victims on Monday December 10 at 6:30 P.M. and on Saturday December 15 at 1:00 P.M.
The treasurer’s report was approved on a motion by Diane and a second by Rose.
